2013 Chevrolet Prisma – Almost 88 year old in Brazil and having been producing two car models under its Brazilian flagship, General Motors seems still want to strengthen its existence in Brazilian automotive market by releasing their upcoming sedan named Chevrolet Prisma. If you know how the Chevrolet Onix looks like, then you will be familiar with this 2013 Chevrolet Prisma because it is basically the sedan version of Onix.
Available in two trim levels, LT and LTZ, 2013 Chevrolet Prisma is considered having a larger cabin, slimmer and more elegant body lines than its other competitors in sedan class. With a 2.53 meters wheelbase and 500 boots capacity, which is just 20 less than the Fiat Siena, Chevrolet Prisma 2013 is ready to compete in sedan class market against Renault Logan, Toyota Etios, and previously mentioned Fiat Siena. Using the same GSV platrform as Spin, Cobalt, and Onix, This Prisma’s exterior design is not far different from its brothers, orwe could say that most of its exterior design is fully adopted from the Onix’s styling. This car’s theme is all about simplicity combined with sporty and economics sedan which is clearly depicted by its curve and shape. Its front lane is typical of Onix design, while the LTZ model comes with blue tint on its headlamps, its B-pillar is also similar to the Onix.
The cabin information seems pretty much confidential until now. One thing that is true for sure, just like its exterior, its interior design apparently still not so far different from the Onix design except the color of plastic. 2013 Chevrolet Prisma uses brown and dark grey for its pnals and dashboard instead. The LTZ model got chrome accent on its door handling and got standard alloy wheels. Apart from its interior design issue, This Prisma car offers you with sufficient driving assistance, and MyLink infotainment system, while other standard features like airbags, parking sensors and power steering are also available.
For the powertrain, 2013 Chevrolet Prisma offers you with two V4 options, including the 1.0 liter ethanol engine with 80hp and 72lb-ft of torque, while it could get 78hp and 70lb-ft of torque in gasoline. The second option is 1.4 liter with 106hp and 102lb-ft of torque in ethanol base while the gasoline could give 98hp and 95lb-ft of torque. An F17 5-speed manual transmission is used for both engines. This engine absolutely has lower power than 2014 Audi A3 Sportback G-Tron engine.
