2014 Audi A3 Sportback G-Tron – Audi looks so serious in responding the CO2 emission’s regulation thought Europe. This issue make the company finally released the 2014 Audi A3 Sportback G-tron, which uses Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) as its fuel. This is considered as Audi’s bigger step to produce a green car, while another company is still busy making the concept.
2014 Audi A3 Sportback G-tron will come in three line ups, include 3-5 doors sedan, convertible S3 and performance model RS3. As wee could take a look, there is no change made to its body line, 2014 Audi A3 Sportback G-Tron comes with a typical body line of Audi A3 Sportback. Single frame grille and flat headlamps are still found on its exterior, as well as its xenon plus headlights and LED daytime running light-weight. Combination of LED lights with little diffuser are still kept on its back seat too. A little G-Tron logos and A3 G-Tron Sticker which is put on its door is the only thing that shows its difference from the standard A3. 2014 Audi A3 Sportback G-Tron still uses the base 1.4 liter TFSI engine with some improvements on its cylinder head, turbocharger, injection system and catalyst converter. This engine brings you 81kW /110hp and 200 Nm of torque. Advance technologies added to support its performance, include its two fuel storage under the floor compartment which could hold seven kilograms of CNG at a maximum 200 bar pressure for each tanks. its strong triple-layer tanks is made from gas-impermeable polyamide polymer for its inner layer, carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) for the second layer and glass fiber reinforced polymer (GFRP), which could protect it against outside damage, on its third layer. This car is also equipped with electronic gas pressure regulator which could reduce gas flowing’s high pressure from its cylinder. These features surely will give this car a better performance, efficient fuel consumption and lower emission than 2013 Alfa Romeo Gloria.
