2014 Subaru Forester is the fourth-generation Forester car from Subaru which makes its public debut at the 2012 L.A. Auto Show and gets many positive respond from public around the world.
Although the increasing dimension does not make much difference, 2014 Subaru Forester looks more contemporary yet more stylish than its previous version. It inherits some of the themes and design details seen in last year’s redesign, such as the crisp new grille design and smoothly sculpted side sheet metal that flows into tail lamps that are ‘pinched’ for appearance, and for aerodynamics. 2014 Subaru Forester has also an improvement on its front look, proven by its higher winged grille and lamps stretch outward and farther back than they did before. The changes help correct the old Forester’s under bite and makes this latest Forester looks a bit richer than 2014 GMC Sierra exterior design because of its LED-infused light clusters and other more expensive looking jewelry.
Not only redesigning the exterior, Subaru also makes many interesting progress on its interior design, especially for family matters, the cabin has been updated so it could make a better look and greater space which give passangers more comfort. The shoulder room is also wider than 2013 Dodge Challenger, and the front and rear seats are also greater than 2013 Lexus GS 350 for more inch.
There are also many improvements related to our toddler’s comfort, such as lowered driveshaft, relocated rear-seat cup holders, the textured coat which is added to the rear doorsills that can avoid our toddler slipping while they’re climbing abroad, the repositioned seats and larger opening rear door which makes the door could open wider and make the installments of child seats easier. We could say that 2014 Subaru Forester is so in to accommodating our family needs and guarantee our excitement and enjoyment when we are doing our trip with this car.
2014 Subaru Forester’s interior is having the same dashboard design as Subaru Impreza, but more edgy than the previous Forester. The material quality is also higher with its better-grained plastic and more self-touch materials. 2014 Subaru Forester is also developing its displays and instruments. It has multi-information display that will show audio and trip information, the rear-camera view that will help you when backing up, and off-road-relevant info when in X-Mode. Even the 2.5i model has a 4.3-inch LCD display for outside temperature and trip-computer functions coming with Bluetooth hands-free calling and audio streaming and it also integrated with smartphone app. It assures that you’ll never get bored during the trip.
The latest 2014 Subaru Forester is now using six-speed manual and a continuously variable transmission (CVT) which expects the new six-speed to do 2 mpg better than the previous five-speed, while the CVT will help return an estimated 24 mpg city/32 mpg highway and 27 mpg combined, about 4 mpg better all around than the outgoing automatic. With direct injection, the 2.0-liter generates up to 250 Hp, it’s good enough to push the Forester 2.0XT to 60 mph in a claimed 6.2 seconds.
2014 Subaru Forester is scheduled to be arrived in US and Canada by the middle of 2013 with its base price of $22,820.
